I went through a few more of my pictures from my Disderi Robot Cameras, and found a few more from my bike ride that I really liked. Also there are some shots of my New Years Trip to Austin. I have some older shots on the camera, because it sat in my bag for about a year; however a lot of them where under exposed; which is odd for 400 ISO.

Up above is a church near San Antonio College, which sits at the top of a very steep hill.

Here are some of the shots that I liked:

Some mispelled graffiti, how can you not be a fan?

This shot I did not even know existed. Apparently I decided to bug my friend Jacie with this little camera while I was in Austin.

The Rotunda at the Texas State Capitol. Not sure how I missed this last night. I really like this.

And of course to finish off the roll, here is my awesome bike while I was taking a little break.

Last weekend I went back to Lubbock to attend a friends wedding.

After the reception, we lit some fireworks which quickly burned out thanks to the Lubbock wind.

It was supposed to be a tunnel of light for the bride and groom to run through, however the sparklers where out before they got to the door.

Considering the fire danger that Lubbock was under, seems like an odd choice; but I guess it is better than throwing rice and watching the birds explode.

Now it is time for Epic Weekend Part 2, SXSW. That picture above is the Tasty Patty Melt, that I had at 24 diner. Danielle and I met our friend Ben.

Ben is a buddy of mine from college who is now a resident of Austin, so it was good seeing him and discussing the glory days of KTXT.

We then headed to the convention center where we ran into the little mascots from Xtranormal.

But then we saw a 4sq check-in from another friend and who else could it be but Allison.

Enjoying the tasty food bits at the Foodspotting trucks. That is where i got this amazing cupcake of doom.

We then headed to the convention proper, and hung out at the Pepsi booth, I spent a lot of time at last years Pepsi Playground meeting people, it was a good place to hang out, and that has not changed.

As a change of pace, this year, the lego’s were dumped on a table. Last year they had Lego sculptures for people to look at, but this year SXSW wanted conference attendees to build things with legos. An excellent decision, because last year the Lego’s didn’t fit in with Screenburn Arcade.

Speaking of, at Screenburn I saw this guy. He claims to be 1/2 the Joker, 1/2 the Riddler and 1/2 Two-Face, but that math does not seem to add up.

After that, we were pretty tired so we decided to make our way back to the cars, that is when i got to sample some Liquid HTML 5. It was ok, but I do not agree with this IE 9 cup, because I only got a half serving.

Tons of mascots this year, I do not remember this many last year.

This weekend I have to start with Friday. In the middle of the work day, the office shut down to welcome Jack Hanna to the office. And he in turn showed off several of his animals.

Here he is with a Cheetah Cub. One of the little kids asked if the Cheetah is made of Cheetos. Sadly, he is not. That makes me a little sad.

After, I headed downtown to see the first Friday artwalk in San Antonio. I have been to several artwalks in Lubbock, but this is my first one in San Antonio.

There where people selling weird things, like these

Then I saw a friend of mine from high school getting his Portrait painted, and I thought that was pretty cool.

Then I went and got cupcakes at this bakery. Since this is South Town, and I get lost easily, I have no idea where this is.

But the cupcakes are amazing.

Sunday found me at Breckenridge park on my bike riding around. I headed down the first trail I found, and all the trails seem to lead to this spot and then fork off in different directions.

On one of the trails was this little Tree house thing

There are three trails to ride on, with varying lengths. Each trail is marked with a symbol like this:

I believe this marking was for the longest trail, the wildlife trail. I did not see very much wildlife, but that is the trail.

My car was parked near this cool bridge.

Back when I lived in Lubbock, a group of friends and I went on weekly photo adventures. I say weekly, but sometimes there where multiple adventures during the week.

This is when we would hop into a car, pick a direction and drive, without a care in the world. Hunting down items to photograph. Sometimes just hitting up antique stores, but always looking for fun.

As things happen, some of us graduated college and moved away. Some graduated college and stayed behind.

We organized a group on Facebook with the effort of organizing an adventure, but since we are so far apart a physical adventure has not happened yet. It was then decided that a long distance adventure should occur.

We organized a bit more, created the site and then put a bunch of themes in a hat. The first theme was chosen, the photo I posted last night.

The next theme will be chosen tonight, and then we will have 2 weeks to shoot it.

I think this will be a fun challenge.

There is also a Poll, where you can vote on who has the best photo.

Vote on it here.

And here are my favorite pictures from Fisheye February. This was a fun little thing to do because I have not sat down and shot a roll of film in a day in a long long time.

First we have Comanche Lookout, you might remember this from a previous photo walk. I seem to have shot this while I was there. I also shot some instant film while I was there. I do not remember this. I guess that is what happens when you shoot half a roll and then forget about the camera.

This is one of the first shots I did this month. I shot this at Solado Creek Greenway. The fisheye made a perfect companion to my bike rides as I hunted for the creek. This was the only bit of water I could find.

Again, forgotten roll of film still in the camera. I shot this out at Cadillac Ranch on a final photo adventure while living in Lubbock, this roll shares many shots.

Like the one above of Allison, shot at Palo Duro Canyon. Allison always makes this face when she is annoyed at me. She is always annoyed at me. Maybe because I am always shoving a camera in her face.

Shot this behind Taco Land on a recent photo walk.

Pearl Brewery as seen from above.

My buddy Rob said this looked like castle grey skull. I feel the need to agree with him on that one.

This bridge spans San Antonio river, or one of the creeks that heads to it. This is down in Breckenridge park. A train takes kids around the park, kind of a fun thing. My nephew loved it.

My niece and sister at Kiddy park. She was being really shy and I was trying to make her giggle.

And here is my mom. She is a happy grandma, taking her grand kids to the park. She came here when she was little. She took us when we were little. And now she takes her grand kids.

What I have determined from this is that I enjoy shooting film on outings, however I do not always go through a roll of film in a single outing and often forget about the film. Something to work on this year.

This weekend was fun, however I did not really do a whole lot. All of these pictures are from Saturday which has a big adventure with my friend Daniele.

I met her for lunch in Gruene, Texas so our first stop was the Gristmill.

We then went to the Winery on the Gruene. I am not a huge wine drinker, but these were pretty tasty.

My favorite was the Blackberry Merlot. Really tasty. It was sweet but not so sweet that it gives me a headache.

We also hit up a few antique stores, and I saw Lucious Malfoys cane.

Afterward we headed to historic Gruene Hall to listen to some live music. Because of the rain I avoided shooting with my camera and kept to my iPhone.

So here is a real photo of the band that played.

And some video of the band.

The name of the band was the Chris Reust Band.

Pretty good band, with a pretty good sound.

Sunday was spent Apartment hunting so nothing exciting there.

January

January was a very cold month with a ton of snow and ice. This kept me in doors for most of the month.

February

It started to warm up a bit, and began having more adventures and trips to the gun range.

March

March was a very active month. Tons of adventures and a weeklong stay in Austin for SXSW interactive. I hope I can make it to Austin this year for part of the 2011 SXSW, might just be a weekend trip.

April

April was a very relaxing month, full of adventure. This was taken at an arts and crafts fair in Lubbock, at the Civic Center I believe.

May

May was spent getting things ready and planning. I had not decided on if I was staying in Lubbock or moving to San Antonio. By the end of the month I had a plan in place.

June

June was the beginning of the end for my time in West Texas, I checked off items on my list. Places I had always wanted to go. Things I had always wanted to do.

July

July was a last hurrah for friends new and old. There where plenty of adventures like this one to Palo Duro canyon, and all over Lubbock.

August

August was by far my most stressful month. I found my self unemployed in a town with few connections; even though it was my home town. I spent my time seeking a new job or trying to figure out how I was going to afford going to school again.

It also found me back in El Paso visiting family. I had not been in El Paso since High School, so it was great to be there to visit friends and family.

September

Having finally found a job, it was time for a little relaxation.

I went down to Rockport for a long weekend of fishing. I need to make a followup trip to Rockport.

October

October was a slow and easy month. A few small adventures, but really just spent figuring out my new role at Clear Channel.

November

November was the month I pushed myself beyond my limits. First there was the Rock and Roll Half Marathon, then there was the Warrior Dash. In a two week time period I walked 16 miles and leaped over fire.

December

December brought the end to a lot of projects mixed with several adventures.

But above all else, there were my friends
