Rain drops on flowers

Rain drops on flowers

I am never awake early enough to see dew drops on flowers, but I love seeing pictures of dew covered flowers and leaves.

How could I pass up an opportunity while strolling through the rainforest to hunt for some flowers and get a shot of rain on the flowers.

I know nothing about plants, just that they are pretty so I have no idea what these are sadly. But the cover the floor of the forest on Oahu.

Wow, look at that I am writing a post and it is about my recent trip.

So let’s get started, first we landed in Los Angeles and we rented a car to drive up Highway 1. Through the fog in in the distance, you see a mountain that is split at an odd place. That is Highway 1, or well part of it. This is actually one of the more famous spots because it is used by every car company at least once for a commercial.

So we drove up Highway 1, and would pull over occasionally for me to take pictures. Honestly, we were trying to escape the fog that covered everything.

The fog stuck around all day, but there where some impressive things to see along the drive.

We even got to see some people paddle boarding, it was kind of cold outside, and the water was cold. But that did not stop them.

We pulled into Santa Barbara and drove up onto this warf to eat at a restaurant called The Harbor, the food was very tasty. After we ate I went for a stroll farther down the warf.

Down at the very end of the warf there where people fishing, and the Pelicans would get pretty close to the people around them. Kind of surprised me to see these massive birds that are not afraid of other people.

After all that, we drove back to Los Angeles and headed over to the Getty Museum. This is easily one of the best art Museums I have ever been to, but the best thing was the garden which was full of really pretty flowers.

Photos from the weekend

This post is a little late, but lets go over the weekend.

First I wondered over to Olmos Basin for a little hike. I wanted to see what all the trails are like there.

They seem nice, so it might be a new weekend bike ride spot.

And the flowers there where blooming like crazy.

Spring has sprung

I then headed to Dignowti Park to check out the push cart derby.

It was super hot outside, but the participants looked to be having a blast.

It really was hot outside, so I left a little early.

Sunday I headed to Solado creek for a nice bike ride. For once I headed off the pavement trail and had a nice ride down the trails.

The wildlife where out in force. I got chased a few times by annoyed deer.

When I got home, I almost stepped on the snake that is the first picture in this post. Two weeks in a row I get close to a snake. No clue what kind this is.

Spent a portion of tonight going through Adobe Lightroom and deleting all the old Over/Underexposed shots that made there way into my library. While I was in there I found this little gem.

I shot this in Ransom Canyon, near the little chapel. And then forgot about it till now. I need to go through my whole Lightroom catalog and see what other little gems I can find.
