This weeks shot is from a test shot. I have had this camera riding around in my bag for about a year now; loaded with film but never used. It is the Disderi Robot Camera, I have the little one with the 2 eyes and the mouth. I picked it up on Ebay one day because I thought it was neat; however I was confused on how to shoot with it.

What could I possibly do with 3 lenses that all shoot at about the same time.

So on my bike ride last Saturday I decided to give it a spin and see what I can get.

I like the above shot. It is neat. It is different. This is not an everyday camera I think. Could be neat to have for street photography, but since I do not do much of that, back on the shelf it will live for a little while longer.

Every year Jim Goldstein does a post on his favorite photos of the year, but then invites other photographers to send him a link of their favorites, so we can all see what other photographers favorites are.

So here are my favorites from 2011, I tried to select only film photos, because that is my focus on 2012, shooting more film.

These are some of my favorite pictures, because I enjoyed playing around with my camera while I was shooting; and I was always so excited to see the results. I just couldn’t wait to get my film back.

Up above is the waterfall at Waimea Valley on the island of Oahu.

The Emily Morgan Hotel, shot with my Lomo Fisheye.

Aztec Theatre in downtown San Antonio. Shot with a Holga.

Grandburry County Courthouse, shot with a Holga.

T-rex out at Dinosaur State Park, shot with a Holga.

Denam Estate Park, San Antonio TX. Shot with the Diana Multi Pinhole.

And Last we have my first attempt at underwater photography. This is a little sea turtle at Ko Olina in Hawaii.

While I did not shoot a ton of film in 2011, I did notice that I enjoyed shooting film a lot, and some of the photos I was most excited about seeing during the year were all shot on film.

Now to get into full swing with 2012.

This is one of my favorite shots from Hawaii.

For my birthday my parents paid for this little excursion to swim with the sharks. I put on a snorkel and rode in a boat 3 miles off shore, where the shark cage was. We then jumped in the cage and watched the sharks swim by.

This has to have been one of the most hectic things I have ever done. The waves crashing against the cage made it swing back and forth in the water. Plus it is a small space you have to share with six other people (2 on every side, they claim it is for safety so you do not get bit by a shark from behind).

These guys down in the water are Galapagos Sharks.

I have to add, this is something every human being needs to try at least once, these animals are amazing up close and in person.

As I hinted on Day 95, with my photo of the book I am reading, Worldwide Pinhole Day is coming.

Worldwide Pinhole Day is April 25th. I have wanted to make a pinhole camera for a while now, and shoot with it.

I have on various outings used a digital pinhole lens; with very little success, but I think as a group it will be fun.

I have seen some awesome pinhole photographs on Flickr, and it can be a fun project to learn about photography with.

I am trying to get a group together for April 25th, to meet at the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, TX and go on a photoadventure armed with pinhole cameras, with the simple goal of taking great Lo-Fi photographs with a pinhole camera.

Event Info on Facebook.

Plan on meeting at around noon on Saturday, and bring your camera and money for lunch.

There are a variety of options available online for building a pinhole camera.

I am making 1 based on one of the paper designs in the book I have.
