Disderi Robot Camera

Disderi Robot Camera

02nd February 2012, (0 Comments)

I went through a few more of my pictures from my Disderi Robot Cameras, and found a few more from my bike ride that I really liked. Also there are some shots of my New Years Trip to Austin. I have some older shots on the camera, because it sat in my bag for about a year; however a lot of them where under exposed; which is odd for 400 ISO.

Up above is a church near San Antonio College, which sits at the top of a very steep hill.

Here are some of the shots that I liked:

Some mispelled graffiti, how can you not be a fan?

This shot I did not even know existed. Apparently I decided to bug my friend Jacie with this little camera while I was in Austin.

The Rotunda at the Texas State Capitol. Not sure how I missed this last night. I really like this.

And of course to finish off the roll, here is my awesome bike while I was taking a little break.

Photos from the weekend – Muddy Buddy

17th May 2011, (0 Comments)

Saturday brought a friendly drive up to Austin Texas to pickup the race packets for the Muddy Buddy race.  We picked up our packets and decided to head down to Hamilton Pool to get a little hike in.

Danielle was my Team mate for the race so we had a little adventure at the pool because the pictures of it are amazing, so after a little 1/4 mile hike we got down to where the creek was at.

And that is when we found the pool:

It is this amazing collapsed cave with fresh water coming into it. Sadly we could not swim in the water on the day we went, but there is a nice little trail and plenty of climbing to be had.

After a nice little hike, food was required, so we headed on down to Johnson City to get to our hotel.

We got checked in and then decided food was required, so we headed to a nearby restraunt.

This place has an awesome beer and wine selection, but the food menu was limited and expensive, so after paying the tab, we went in search of real food.

I have to say, Johnson City was kind of surprising, They had some really pretty murals on some of the buildings:

We then found the other restraunt in Johnson City, the Silver K; which I kept wanting to call the Circle K.

The food here was expensive, but very tasty. Well worth the price. If you are ever trapped in Johnson City, this is the place to stop at.

Sunday was race day, so we were up before dawn to get ready and head to the race.

Sadly, there are no pictures from the race, it requires a lot of crawling, cycling and mud, so I have no pictures. But here is the finish line:

Photos from the weekend

21st March 2011, (1 Comments)

Another fun filled weekend in Austin surrounded by old friends from Texas Tech.

People from the old Days of KTXT, standing around discussing random bits of popculture.

20110321-084928.jpg

Or just catching up on things since some of us have not hung out in a long time.

20110321-084939.jpg

The guy with the beard, well that is Josh from The Fat Fingers of Justice. A read I must recommend.

There were food trucks, with mini pork burgers that where very tasty. They also had smoking peppers.

You might wonder why I did not bring my new 60 D on this outing, well it was because of bands like this. This is Off!, and they put on one hell of a show. But with all the moshing, and dust I would not want to risk it; so I left it at home.

I then suddenly remembered that Hipstamatic had a special lens for SXSW, so I started to play with it. This is the band Surfer Blood. They have a pretty good sound, but oddly this band had a bigger mosh pit than OFF!, which makes very little sense to me.

We then saw Big Freedia, which was possibly the best rap show I have ever seen.

We then finished off the evening with some Fried Chicken Waffle Tacos.

I think I am ready for a relaxing weekend next weekend.

If it was a snake it would bite you…

I went on a hike today to find a photo for the Animal Antics challenge on Photo Adventure.

So headed to the park and was walking around when I almost stepped on the snake above.

I spoke to one of the people at the park and they said it was a water moccasin, thankfully this guy was not very active because the sun was not out and it was kind of chilly.

But it made me realize why you should wear pants and big boots when you are hiking, even if the place is Hippie Hollow.

You can see the rest of the groups photos here.

Day 247

05th September 2010, (0 Comments)

IMG_9536

…I was riding my bike as hard as I could under Austin highway number 5 (not a real thing I think). When I got to the underpass that ran perpendicular to 6th street I saw it.

Right in the middle of the road was a lime green ooze that I had to cross over to get to the end of my journey. I Jumped and splash, I hit the toxic ooze as I came across and had to swim through, still pedeling on my bike. When I finally got out of the quagmire I realized my iPhone had…

This was the dream I had last night. Very strange. You may be wondering what the picture above has to do with such a weird dream.

Nothing, the photo came after the dream. This was on the fishing trip this morning out in Copano Bay. The fishing trip was excellent.

However, I do not have any pictures of the fish that I caught because of the dream of the destroyed iPhone.
