Photos from the weekend – Luminaria

13th March 2011, in Pictures ( Comments)

This weekend, a friend came to town, producing a weekends worth of epic photo adventures. I am breaking it up into 3 posts because I took a lot of pictures. But let’s get started with Luminaria.

This event was epic, and I can not wait to see what they do next year.

It all started with this gate at Hemisphere park.

Danielle and I headed to the Tower of Americas, because I had never been to the top and we wanted to see what the whole park looked like from above.

What an awesome view of the park.

They lit up the park with brightly covered lights, and it was really pretty.

There were also all these neat installations like this one:

They also had massive projectors set up, projecting designs on the exteriors of buildings.

And people who juggled fire…

However, my favorite thing to see all night was the glowing pieces of rock candy (actually plastic) that were set on the hill.

Another post to come tomorrow, and some videos. This weekend was a little too epic, I feel as though I need another weekend to recover.
