Danielle was my Team mate for the race so we had a little adventure at the pool because the pictures of it are amazing, so after a little 1/4 mile hike we got down to where the creek was at.

And that is when we found the pool:

It is this amazing collapsed cave with fresh water coming into it. Sadly we could not swim in the water on the day we went, but there is a nice little trail and plenty of climbing to be had.

After a nice little hike, food was required, so we headed on down to Johnson City to get to our hotel.

We got checked in and then decided food was required, so we headed to a nearby restraunt.

This place has an awesome beer and wine selection, but the food menu was limited and expensive, so after paying the tab, we went in search of real food.
I have to say, Johnson City was kind of surprising, They had some really pretty murals on some of the buildings:

We then found the other restraunt in Johnson City, the Silver K; which I kept wanting to call the Circle K.

The food here was expensive, but very tasty. Well worth the price. If you are ever trapped in Johnson City, this is the place to stop at.

Sunday was race day, so we were up before dawn to get ready and head to the race.
Sadly, there are no pictures from the race, it requires a lot of crawling, cycling and mud, so I have no pictures. But here is the finish line:

And a post race team photo:

Go Team Meerkat vs Polar Bear.
Here is the metal we received.

Finally got my film back from the lab. I have 2 shots from it that I really like. Everything else is overexposed or underexposed, but that is what happens when you use a pinhole camera.
Unlike last year when I tried to build a camera, this year I purchased the Diana Multi-Pinhole Operator. Both shots are on Ilford SFX 200, and where taken at Denam Estate Park.

Saturday was the race for the cure here in San Antonio.

Early in the morning we met at the Alamo Dome, I was on the team at work, the 90 minute mile’ers.

We made these massive letters to carry through the race.
There where a lot of people here.

And very big pink bears.

The race took a great deal of time to finish, can’t wait for next year.

This stuffed bunny was sitting on my grandmothers table just waiting to be photographed.
I am still waiting on my film to come back from the lab, so this will have to do while I wait.
See the rest of the group shots over at Photo Adventure.
